Week 20 of 52.....

I decided to braid my hair to set over night. I already had the braid out cornrows but I wanted my waves back so I braided right over the cornrow braid out. What do you think?

Week 21 of 52.....

I put my hair in big two strand twist and did a pin up style. I love this style because I have had my hair like this for a week and it still looks good!

Week 20 of 52.....

I sectioned my hair in big chucks and put two strand twist in over night. Then the next morning (LOOKING EXACTLY LIKE CELIE FROM THE COLOR PURPLE) I pulled out the twists, got in the shower and wet my hair. My hair turned out crinkly and stayed all day!!

Week 19 of 52.....

Here I am after several days of wearing the twist out cornrows. I decided to pull back the front and put my hair in a clip.

Week 18 of 52.....

Hello everyone!!! Here I am with a braid out look. I cornrowed my hair dry. Used setting lotion and left it in for about 4 days. I took out the cornrows and here's my look. Let me know what you think!

I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THE DELAY...

I have been on a blogcation. Wanted you all to know that I am expecting and due in six weeks. I haven't been feeling like DOing anything let alone DOing 52.

I will be positing photos of my hairstyles without the video demos for now. I will be back though!!!

Week 17 of 52.....

Here's a familiar hairstyle that you have seen somewhat before. I did a full updo a few weeks ago. Now I am doing a similar style leaving bangs out. Again, this is an easy look that has derived from my two strand twist afro. Let me know what you think!!!

Week 16 of 52.....

My son M A R L E Y

FIRST haircut!!!!!

Can we say he thought that he was being skinned alive. Oh my GOODNESS!!! Thought I would take him to a FUN place to have his FIRST haircut done. Let me stop to say that daddy did NOT want his hair cut but mommy ( me ) was getting worn out doing 3 heads. So, Germaine (dad) couldn't go with us.

So we get there and Marley's a bit apprehensive. He sees the cars and toys then gets excited but I could tell that he was like, "why am I hear?", "what are they doing to those kid's hair?" So, once I said that they were going to do his hair he told me NO! At this point I had a feeling that I was in for it.

So, he FREAKED out when she came near him as he was sitting on the FUN motorcycle. It ended up that I literally had to sit in a regular chair, hold him down, wrap my  legs around him and put him in a head lock in order for her to cut his hair. It took about 45 mins for us to get through it. All along I kept apologizing to Amber the "barber". She said they get cases like this all of the time. Then at one point she said, "Wow, he's rather strong!" I think that she still has bruises from him kicking her and I think that I still have Marley hair on me.

Well, we finally got finished and I really didn't like the cut.  I just KNEW that Germaine was not going to be happy about the cut. So we get home and Germaine just starred at his head. His question to me was, "could she not finish?" "Was she white?" I said, OMG....I just KNEW it was going to go this way. He said, "Oh, he's definitely going to Ken (his former barber) next time!!!

So, I washed it, put some oil in it and brushed it and it looks better. LONG story short, Marley gotta hair cut! Check it out!

Week 14 of 52.....

Introducing Marnel!!!

I've asked a friend of mine if she would participate in my blog. I love her hair always. In the video she's had twist for a little while and she wants to spice it up for the weekend. She uses rods to curl her hair. Thank you SO much Marnel girl. LOVE THE DO. I'll have to try this out soon. Check it out!

Week 14 of 52.....

I had Ronda at Tashie Hair Salon to wash, blow dry, straighten, trim and style my hair. The total process took about an hour and a half. She's amazing!! She doesn't put much oil in it and it turns out light and beautiful. Let me know what you think!!!
